Veterinary Career and Interests: Dr. Rose spent his early veterinary
career working with a mixed animal practice where he tended to not only dogs
and cats, but also cows, horses, and other farm animals. He later moved to Ohio
where he was a busy small animal veterinarian for many years. In 1997, Dr. Rose
moved to Charlottesville and opened up Monticello Animal Hospital which has
been growing ever since! Dr. Rose enjoys orthopedic surgery, exotic animal medicine,
and his housecall practice (the Traveling Vet).
Family and Pets: Dr. Rose is a proud father of five children.
His wife Linda heroically stays home with the kids, as well as their 5 dogs,
1 cat, and 1 hampster.
Personal Interests and Hobbies: Dr. Rose spends his free time
playing with his five children, driving and fixing his old 1953 Ford tractor,
and gardening.
