Our History

The Monticello Animal Hospital was opened in the fall of 1997 by Dr. Rose and his wife, Linda. They moved from Columbus, Ohio, to Charlottesville, Virginia, to start a family and a family practice. The hospital has grown and so has the Rose family.

The Roses now have six children to go with their five dogs. The Monticello Animal Hospital staff has grown as well. We are proud to have three veterinarians, four licensed veterinary technicians, two assistants, three receptionists, and a kennel attendant.  We are a close family here, and are grateful to have the wonderful clients that we continue to serve today.
